Shaun White is currently in Aspen warming up for the third of four U.S. Qualifying stops, attempting to get back to the Winter Olympics next month. While his chances look good, the same can’t be said after suffering from a fall earlier last year in New Zealand.Previously unreleased footage from Shaun White’s crash in October of last year while training for the 2018 Winter Olympics in PyeongChang, South Korea was published by Yahoo Sports last week. We reported on the 2017 fall that happened in New Zealand, resulting in 62 stitches and White taking a short break before coming back, but now in SnowPack: Shaun White and the U.S. Snowboard Team, an eight-part documentary series highlighting Shaun’s journey back to the Olympics, they show what happened. “I have never really had that much blood coming out of me before,” White says in the video after falling attempting a cab double cork 1440.Since the fall, White podiumed at the first Grand Prix of the year in Copper and the failed to make finals at the 2017 Winter Dew Tour. With the Olympic race on the line, expect a big showing for Shaun this weekend in Aspen.
